Social anxiety is anxiety that stems from social situations, such as talking to people you don/t know, being in crowds, doing presentations, giving speeches, and being in confined spaces with large groups of people.
Symptoms of anxiety:
Feeling panicky
Sweating
Heart palpitations
Stuttering/tripping over words
Racing heartbeat
Racing thoughts
Shaking
Dwelling on situations that caused anxiety after it's over

Exposing yourself to anxiety induced situations can help you get over your fear and anxiety. You can go places with friends or people you're comfortable with, try deep breathing/breathing exercises, and the five senses exercise, among other grounding techniques.
